Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle non invasive complimentary therapy, that uses the application of pressure to the feet and hands. It is extremely relaxing yet a very powerful therapy for helping to bring the body back in to balance and stimulate the body’s own healing response. It can help to greatly relieve pain, reduce anxiety, improve sleep and mood. It works really well with other therapies, particularly Reiki.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy massage is a very gentle massage that uses the therapeutic quality of essential oils to bring healing. The oils are absorbed through the skin, inhaled and work on the body, mind and emotions in very specific ways to balance and relax, or stimulate and revitalise. A special blend of oils will be selected for you based on what your needs are at that moment.

I combine the amazing energetic vibrations of the beautiful oils with myofascial healing massage, gentle stretches and lymphatic drainage.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is a traditional, most well known type of bodywork massage. The primary goal is relaxation, whilst also working on tension and knots to relieve pain and stiffness. It can also be firm and invigorating, using a combination of massage strokes and techniques. Swedish is the underpinning cornerstone of all massages, and one that we all learn at the start of our careers – I incorporate many aspects of this massage into my treatments, but no longer do “just a Swedish massage” – when you book an hour massage with me nowadays you get more than just one massage modality.

Myofascial Healing Massage

Myofascial Healing Massage

A slow gentle “holding” massage. The fascia is the thin membrane that runs throughout our entire body, from the tips of our toes, through all the muscles and fibers, even into our brain! We store trauma and emotions in our fascia, which, if not released build up and cause pain and tension throughout the body. This massage is ideal if you have fibromyalgia or other conditions that cause pain, where deeper massage is uncomfortable. It helps to release emotions, and works on the nervous system, “dialling down” the stress response in the brain, and so is also good for people who have anxiety, or who have gone through trauma and need help releasing that.

Hot (and cold - optional) Stones Massage

Hot (and cold - optional) Stones Massage

One of the most versatile, popular and relaxing massages, it is said that one sweep of the stone is worth 5 with the hand alone! The natural volcanic stones are heated and used with luxurious coconut oil to massage stress, knots and tension from the body. The stones, combined with the heat penetrate stiff muscles and warm deep into the surrounding joints. This treatment can be finished with smooth chilled marble stones to invigorate the skin, which is great in the summer and a must to soothe and clear the sinuses after a facial.
