New Training Courses for 2019
I am excited to announce two new training courses that we at AuroraStar Holistic Therapies and Training and Vitality Holistics Massage and Beauty Training are offering from January 2019 – Pregnancy Massage, and The Natural Facelift Massage.

Pregnancy Massage and The Natural Facelift Massage Training

I deliver these courses on a 1 to 1 or small group basis, with times that fit YOUR schedule, from my beautiful therapy room within an aesthetic beauty salon very centrally located in the heart of Milton Keynes. If you have any questions about either of these courses or any other of the courses that I teach please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Of course, I don’t just teach, so if you would like to experience either of these treatments for yourself or to book for someone else then please get in touch.

Pregnancy Massage

This one-and-a-half-day advanced course is endorsed by midwives, IPTI, and accredited by the Beauty Guild.
This is a gentler touch massage, as the aim of pregnancy massage is to be soothing, calming and relaxing rather than a remedial or firm massage. Half a day is self-study with a full day of practical training.
Pregnancy massage helps to prepare the body for the changes that are occurring in the mothers’ body whilst promoting relaxation and easing muscle tension. Here are some of the amazing benefits that having a massage during pregnancy can bring;

  • Improved sleep
  • Less anxiety
  • A chance to connect with your baby
  • Improved circulation
  • Enhanced feelings of relaxation
  • Soothes back ache
  • Eases water retention
  • Relieves other pregnancy aches and pains
  • Hydrates skin and enhances skin flexibility
  • Reduces stress on joints
  • Can provide relief from pregnancy cramps
  • Provides support for expecting mums

As a therapist, this is such a wonderful treatment to be able to give!
(Students need to hold a massage qualification in Swedish Full Body Massage or the equivalent, and a qualification in Anatomy and Physiology to attend this course) Investment; £175, inclusive of comprehensive manual, diploma and on-going support.

Natural Facelift Massage

Also known as “the non-surgical facelift”, this amazing facial massage uses a combination of Indian Ayurvedic moves, Japanese acupressure, some facial reflexology along with lymphatic drainage, to work on the fascia and underlying structure of the skin, and the meridian system, helping to improve the appearance and give a plumb and lifted look*. It is also an incredibly relaxing massage, (to have and to give), a really special treatment.
I have been offering the Natural Facelift Massage to my clients for several years now, it is one of my most popular treatments, and one of my personal favourites, so I am really excited to be able to now teach this therapy.
This one-day intensive course is dedicated to hands on practical to ensure that students can carry out a treatment confidently. Investment for this course is £150 inclusive of comprehensive manual, diploma and on-going support. Anatomy and physiology qualification is not a requirement for this course, and so is open to complete novices, who maybe are interested in learning a new skill, either just for fun and to benefit friends and family, or to start a new career with, as this is a fully accredited course. For the already experienced professional therapist this treatment is an amazing one to have in your toolkit!
*I personally conducted my own mini study of this massage with 3 test subjects. All 3 had a course of 6 treatments, 1 a week for 6 weeks, and all 3 reported seeing a difference in the appearance of their skin, the also said friends and family noticed! The recording of this is on my AuroraStar Facebook Page. I hasten to add this was in no way an official scientific study, it was just something I did for my own knowledge and curiosity.

Brightest Blessings, Namaste

Sam xx
